Zone 7 Death Notice: Cleave Mulhollan

Zone 7 sadly reports the passing of retiree Cleave Mulhollan on Monday, December 6, 2021. His obituary is as follows:

Cleave Mulhollan grew up on Bieler Road in West Seneca, NY, and moved to Cole Road in Orchard Park as a young teenager. He was the eldest of three children. As a young man he aspired to follow in his father’s footsteps, becoming a boilermaker for Boilermakers Hall Local #7. As a boilermaker, he often traveled for work, but always looked forward to coming home to be with his family, including his two children, Steve, and Jeannine. Cleave and Delphine met in 1997, and she later became his wife. They loved traveling, having spent time in Mexico, Hawaii, and most of the contiguous 48 states. Cleave loved classic cars and was the proud owner of a 1970 Nova SS. Cleave and Delphine often took it to car shows and Cleave even raced it at Lancaster Speedway. One of the brightest spots in Cleave’s life was his granddaughter, Tori. She loved having sleepovers at her grandfather’s house with her cousins Lia and Tyler. Tori had a special nickname for Cleave, affectionately calling him “Bear” from a very young age since he was like a big teddy bear- a little grizzly and gruff at first but sweet, warm, and cuddly once you got to know him. Cleave has always been an avid dog lover throughout his life and has always cherished all his children’s dogs. In later years Cleave became attached to a Norwich Terrier named Rusty, and they were the best of friends. Cleave was always loyal and dedicated to the people he loved. He had a wonderful yet mischievous sense of humor, often pulling little pranks on his nieces and nephews. Cleave’s heart was caring, giving, and loving, and it was a privilege and honor to have been a part of his life.

Mulhollan, Cleave E. of Orchard Park, NY passed December 6, 2021. Beloved husband Delphine J. Mulhollan (nee Zielinski); devoted father of Steven (Jessica) Mulhollan and Jeannine (Kelly Jones) Mulhollan; cherished grandfather of Tori Jones; loving step-father of Jason (Jodi) Keklak; caring older brother of the late Kathleen (late Bill) Buchwald and the late Curtis (Kathy) Mulhollan; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and beloved owner of Rusty. Proud member of Boilermaker Local #7.
